The Friendship House Association provides programs to better the community of Prince Rupert, with emphasis on the needs of Indigenous peoples. The Friendship House provides a daycare center for children from newborn to school-age, a preschool for children under the age of five, and a drop-in center used by the community at large. Programs include alcohol and drug counselling, mental health outreach, and E.V.A.W. (Ending Violence Against Women), which provides safe rides along Highway 16.
