The Kaien Trails Society is a volunteer-led organization that facilitates the creation of additional trails in the Prince Rupert area. The society plans to develop a recreational trail network, maintain trails and facilities, and promote trail recreation and safety. Recently, the City of Prince Rupert leased the Waterfront Rushbrook Trail to the organization, which led the fundraising and execution of a full scale redevelopment of this beautiful waterfront asset .
